Details: One of only two DHC's fitted with the rare 'Le Mans Spec' trible-Weber DBB engine. This car was delivered new to USA and was in two-family ownership for the first 54 years of its life, before being returned to the UK by Adrian Johnson (Post Vintage Engineers) who acquired it in 2012. The car has significant AMOC USA competition history and was well-known at Club meetings. Despite its competition history it was used sparingly on the road and has covered only 36,000 miles by 2020. The car was sold through Nicholas Mee in 2023 and is now residing in France.
The only other DBB DHC was delivered new to Morocco - intriguingly, the photo on the right below shows it bearing Casablanca number plates in 1958 but it has never been heard of since - please contact me if you know where it is now.

Details: The car was delivered to a Mr. Syz by the traditional New York-based Aston Martin dealer J.C. Inskip. Mr. Syz's of 14 Wall Street, in the middle of Manhattan's Financial District. The car was ordered in a special colour, Rolls Royce Tudor Grey. It is thought that Mr Syz brought the car to Switzerland. Around 1967, a Mr Evans from Lausanne was the owner who owned the Aston until it was sold to Emil Frey in 1992 having been repainted green and requiring restoration. After the car remained untouched for many years, the experts of Emil Frey Classics have completed a frame off restoration to Concours condition. Now on display at the Emile Frey Museum in Safenwil, Switzerland.
